Nestled within the beautiful Nethercote Woods and located a short 3-minute walk into the woodland along a track from the car park, the forest school site is set amongst an area of well-established trees, and hosts a variety of outdoor activities such as a mud kitchen with water fun, a rope assault course, natural art & craft area a digging pit, and designated area’s for shelter building, hammocks & crafts and most importantly the fire pit and fire circle, which can be covered during wet weather so that it can be enjoyed in most weather conditions.
It is also home to a variety of woodland animals such as rabbits, squirrels, mice, moles as well as an abundance of bird and insect species, we even have a little Wren nesting under the refreshments table.
The heart of our Forest School site - the Fire Circle! This cosy spot is perfect for gathering around the fire pit, learning how to build, light and cook on an open fire.
We've got plenty of natural seating for everyone to join in on the fun and we don't worry about the weather, it can be covered with a canopy to keep you dry.
Welcome to the digging pit, where countless treasures await to be unearthed. Each hole represents a new opportunity to discover hidden wonders and secrets waiting to be revealed. So roll up your sleeves, grab a shovel, happy digging!

This peaceful corner of the site is for shelter building and a hammock hanging area waiting for you to enjoy. The natural shelter, tucked under the branches of a gorgeous willow tree, is a popular spot for everyone to play in.
If you're just looking to chill out, the hammocks are perfect for kicking back and listening to the natural sound of the woods.
The mud kitchen is always a hive of activity and a favorite with the children. It's amazing to see what fun can be had and what potions, cakes, pies and cocktails can be created. We have several pots & pans, a sink and cooking stove along with a table & chairs.
Welcome to this exciting space where young minds can explore the wonders of water collection and filtration! Here, children can engage in playful activities that not only entertain but also educate about the importance of water conservation.
The natural rope course is an area designated for physical play and used to develop physical, motor and communication skills. There is cargo netting to climb, a swing, tyre swings, a slack line and human web.
