Children aged 4 - 12yrs
Providing an alternative approach to learning for home educated children, the regular sessions are devised by the forest school instructor and adhere to the forest school ethos and cover all aspects of learning and development, from social & physical skills to communication and emotional awareness, inspiring self-confidence and an appreciation of the natural environment.
The sessions include exciting seasonal activities such as woodland team games, nature and environmental awareness, woodland management, use of tools for natural crafts, fire building, backwoods cooking and den building.
To get the most from the forest school experience, these sessions should be attended on a regular weekly basis.
Activities are crafted to foster the holistic growth of learners through play, communication, and the nurturing of independence and confidence. They aim to spark natural curiosity and promote well-being in a woodland setting. These activities provide opportunities for individuals to engage in supported risk-taking, enabling them to discover their abilities and enhance their self-esteem.
